The Clients
I currently have 25 clients that I take care of in my home & 23 at their home from time to time. Everyone that I take care of at my home has become friends with my boys and they enjoy having them over. My clients are 38 dogs, 3 cats, a Guinea Pig and 6 Monkeys (I take care of them at their home).
Yes, I said a Guinea Pig! My boys do not bother her when she is here. At first when she started coming Buddy would look at me like "why is she in there, when is she coming out to play?" I've explained to them that what you see is what she does, that's it.
When I took her out of her cage to change her bedding of wood chips, I laid a towel on the floor and put her on it. They came up to her sniffed her wanting her to play with them, but she just sat there & crawled on the towel awhile. She sniffed them when they sniffed her. She got her butt sniffed, used the bathroom on the towel and that was it. They knew that was that. That's all she's gonna do. Then they (the boys) went outside to play. I've had her over here numerous times. And as always, they were fine.
Many of my clients say that this is a vacation for their dogs! They are always excited and happy when they come over. For those whom I go to their home to take care of, are happy to see me as I am to see them.
